Berlin, Maryland was named "America's Coolest Small Town" — and their brewery is a big reason why. We've partnered with Berlin Beer Company to bring their craft beers aboard the Bay Hopper, and trust us, this is a combination that was meant to be.

Berlin Beer Company brews out of Berlin's original 1930s freight train station on Broad Street — a building that spent decades as a farm supply warehouse before being reborn as one of the Eastern Shore's best taprooms. With 40 taps pouring everything from IPAs and lagers to porters, stouts, sours, and seltzers, these folks don't mess around. And now you get to enjoy their best selections while cruising the Assawoman Bay with views of the OC skyline that'll make your Instagram followers weep. Even better? The owners of the Berlin Beer Company team will be onboard to guide you through the selections, talk brewing techniques, and share the story of how a 1930s train station became one of the best breweries on the Eastern Shore. You'll leave knowing a lot more about craft beer than when you boarded — and probably with a new favorite.

Your first two beers are included, and additional craft beers are available for purchase at a price you won't beat on land or sea. Two hours, great beer from a legendary small-town brewery, and the most beautiful water on the Eastern Shore. This is a 21+ cruise — you MUST BE 21 OR OLDER.

Cheers to Berlin. Cheers to the bay. Cheers to you for booking this.

Departure Location, Parking & Boarding — This trip leaves from our Uptown Headquarters (actual address is 11703 Coastal Highway). We are located right next to the Food Lion in a Kiosk labelled "OC Bay Hopper" — you can't miss us. Parking at 118th Street is abundant. Look for OC Bay Hopper flags! You will board from a floating dock, which tends to make it easier to get on the boat.

Departure Time — Please plan to arrive about 5–10 minutes before your trip. If you do not see the boat, please don't worry — we are probably off making memories with another group! Uptown and Downtown locations are staffed by OC Bay Hopper. We typically do not have staff at Ocean Pines Yacht Club or Mid-Town 53rd Street. Our captains are trained to leave ON TIME. If you are running late, you can attempt to contact us but if there are other parties on your trip it is unlikely that we will hold up a trip for you!!!

Bathrooms — Our Bay Hoppers do not have bathrooms onboard. There are available restrooms near all of our locations for use before the trip but we share these facilities with other businesses except Uptown, where the bathroom is inside our Kiosk.

What to Bring — Sunscreen and a camera, snacks and/or drinks for longer trips, and always take into account weather conditions on the water. (Dress in layers if you are not sure!)

Weather — Unless the weather poses a threat to passenger safety (e.g., lightning, high winds) or would make the trip extremely uncomfortable (e.g., heavy rain), the trip will proceed as scheduled. If the captain cancels due to weather, you will be notified and your money refunded. If the conditions are unpleasant but remain safe, we will run the trip. Sometimes if this situation arises we will offer to cancel/reschedule/refund but as long as the trip is safe then our Captains generally want to make this happen!

Trip Minimum — Please be aware that we cannot run this trip if fewer than 4 people book. We will notify you at least one hour (usually earlier the morning of) before departure if the minimum has not been reached and offer a full refund or try to rebook you onto another cruise if you prefer.

Additional Details — This is a 21+ cruise — you MUST BE 21 OR OLDER. Aligned with the goal of ensuring all OC Bay Hopper customers have a great experience, we will only run trips that are deemed safe by our Captains. Generally, the weather on the coastal bays of the Ocean City area is very pleasant but sometimes storms and thunderstorms do occur.

In the event that your trip is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. Sometimes, the weather conditions, particularly high winds causing choppy seas, will allow us to run a safe trip that is a bit unpleasant.

Our captains will always strive to let people know when conditions will be less than ideal and if conditions warrant a possible refund you may choose to not take the trip. (But sometimes those rough passages make for the best experiences!)
