Book Your Experience

Do you like your sunsets with a bit of spice???

Join us for an Eco-Adrenaline tour the likes of which Ocean City has not seen in some time! Climb aboard “Osprey”- the newest addition to our OC Bay Hopper Fleet- and take a spin around Assateague Island and the Coastal Bays behind Ocean City, Maryland. (and yes, we do mean “take a spin…”)

Osprey is a Jet Boat, fitted out with the combination of jet drive and twin turbo diesel engines and a hull that supports fast running in shallow water! Throughout your 45 minute trip, you will be dazzled by the beautiful, natural scenery of our Coastal Bays and the slick maneuverability of the boat! Some might say this ride is more like a roller coaster than a cruise. (yep, seatbelts are required!) And our staff will make sure that you see our boat's namesake, the majestic Osprey (and possibly a large number of other birds, the famous Assateague ponies, and maybe some bay swimming dolphins- we'll look, but nature can be unpredictable!)
All of our captains are trained to be guides with a deep knowledge of the area, so you will learn about our ecosystem with several stops throughout the tour. Additionally, the number of high speed maneuvers that our captains are able to complete will absolutely be dependent on both weather conditions and boat traffic. We will try to incorporate 2-3 spins during each trip, but please know that SAFETY is our number one mandate.
Please note: this experience includes high speed maneuvers that are not suitable for folks with back problems, heart problems and anyone that could be pregnant. Our waiver will make this very explicit- it is up to you to decide whether you are a good candidate for this kind of thrill ride. (if you would not get on a roller coaster, then don’t get on Osprey!)

Additionally, there is a minimum height requirement of 42" for all youth.

This trip is approximately 40-45 minutes long and will alternate between trips behind Assateague Island (potential pony sightings!)  and trips further north around small deserted bay islands (providing a view of OC from the bay!) We are planning to run North two times each day, as a way to provide variety for those we are sure will want to rebook another trip on Osprey!

All of our Eco-Adrenaline tours on Osprey depart promptly at their scheduled time from our downtown location at 307 Dorchester Street. It will be hard to miss our red Jet Boat, branded “Osprey” at the marina, and even harder to miss the OC Bay Hopper headquarters where we will sell tickets, etc...

Because of the nature of this experience, we will have lifejackets for all children under 13 years of age. These are in addition to the USCG required Type 1 lifejackets onboard.

Please note you may get wet on this adventure, but this can be mitigated by your choice of seat. Bottom line: if you don't want to get wet, maybe you should not book with us on Osprey!.

Seating will be done on a first booked, first seated basis, so if you have a particular preference then we recommend you book early!

It is essential that you complete a waiver before boarding Osprey. The waiver clearly outlines the type of risk with this trip, so we urge that you read it carefully and thoughtfully. We take providing this kind of experience very seriously, and we ask that you do as well.

Aligned with the goal of ensuring all OC Bay Hopper customers have a great experience, we will only run trips that are deemed safe by our Captains. Generally, the weather on the coastal bays of the Ocean City area is very pleasant but sometimes storms and thunderstorms do occur.

In the event that your trip is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. Sometimes, the weather conditions, particularly high winds causing choppy seas, will allow us to run a safe trip that is a bit unpleasant.

Our captains will always strive to let people know when conditions will be less than ideal and if conditions warrant a possible refund you may choose to not take the trip. (But sometimes those rough passages make for the best experiences!)
