Board one of our Bay Hoppers at our West OC location and we’ll transport you to and from Assateague Island!  The Island’s magical sand and unique environment makes it a special place for breeding bivalve molluscs – otherwise known as clams.

Your captain will have the Bay Hopper equipped with everything you’ll need to harvest the clams.  All you need to bring is a willingness to do a little work and a pair of good feet.  Your captain will show you how to find and collect the clams; this is easy but make the captain feel good and pretend his instructions are amazing.

This clamming adventure is a great option for kids; the waters by Assateague are very shallow and there’s wild horses roaming around!  Clams and horses – what can be better than that!  After the trip, take your haul of bivalves home and make some clam chowder!  Or maybe a little clam sauce over linguini!  The possibilities are endless.
