Sunset with a Sommelier
Join Jen Brooks, Certified Sommelier, WSET Advanced, for a breathtaking coastal wine experience aboard the Bay Hopper. Take in captivating views of Ocean City, Assateague Island, salt marshes, and sandy beaches, as Jen tastes us through a selection of fantastic wines from around the world. Perfect for the seasoned oenophile, the wine novice, or simply anyone who wants to further their wine knowledge and take in beautiful bay views. Ocean City is famous for its vibrant sunsets, especially during the shoulder season, and the best spot to do this is on the water!
On this 90-minute cruise, Jen will guide you through 5 wines: 1 sparkling, 2 whites, and 2 reds, with light nibbles provided, but feel free to bring your own. Are you departing from the Ocean Pines Yacht Club? Meet Jen a half hour before departure for a complimentary glass of bubbles! Catching the boat at 118th st? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We’ll top off your glass when we see you at the Yacht Club!

Your Sommelier
Jen Brooks is the Fine Wine Manager, Mid-Atlantic for Frederick Wildman and Sons. A luxury wine specialist and educator, Jen has been awarded wine certificates from the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. Jen and her husband split their time between their home in Ocean Pines and Annapolis.
This trip will start at Ocean Pines Yacht Club but participants can also catch the boat from our 118th Street location. The experience will be for 90 minutes, capped by a sunset on the bay over Ocean Pines... (Participants returning to 118th Street will be able to ride the boat back, of course).
Restrooms are not available on OC Bay Hopper but there will be ample time, before and after the trip, to use the facilities at Ocean Pines Yacht Club. (Consider having dinner after the cruise!)
It can be a little chilly out on the water in the fall, so bring layers as appropriate.
