Ocean Pines Happy Hour just moved to the water — and it comes with an Orange Crush.
The Harborside Happy Hour is a two-hour late afternoon cruise aboard the Egret, departing from Ocean Pines Yacht Club and heading south through some of the most beautiful water on the Eastern Shore. Your first stop? The shores of Assateague Island, where wild ponies roam, herons patrol the shallows, and the afternoon light turns the whole island golden. From there, we'll cruise into West Ocean City's Commercial Harbor — the working heart of OC's fishing and boating scene — where the views are local, the vibe is authentic, and the scenery is unlike anything you'll see from the beach.
And here's the best part: every guest gets an Orange Crush — the signature cocktail born right here in West OC at Harborside Bar. Sip yours while the captain takes you on a scenic tour through waters most visitors never see.
Want to skip the nature and head straight for the bar? We can pull right up to Harborside Bar & Grill so your group can hop off, grab a snack, reload on Orange Crushes, and soak in the harbor vibe for about an hour before we cruise you back. Just let your captain know — we're flexible.
This is a 21+ cruise — you MUST BE 21 OR OLDER. Two hours, great drinks, Assateague Island, the Commercial Harbor, and a vibe that'll have you canceling your dinner reservations. Actually, don't cancel them. But you'll want to.
Departure Location, Parking & Boarding — This trip leaves from Ocean Pines Yacht Club (1 Mumford Landing Rd, Ocean Pines, MD 21811). Our boat is located in a slip near the outdoor bar. Parking at Ocean Pines Yacht Club is abundant. You will board from a floating dock, which tends to make it easier to get on the boat.
Departure Time — Please plan to arrive about 5–10 minutes before your trip. If you do not see the boat, please don't worry — we are probably off making memories with another group! Uptown and Downtown locations are staffed by OC Bay Hopper. We typically do not have staff at Ocean Pines Yacht Club or Mid-Town 53rd Street. Our captains are trained to leave ON TIME. If you are running late, you can attempt to contact us but if there are other parties on your trip it is unlikely that we will hold up a trip for you!!!
Bathrooms — Our Bay Hoppers do not have bathrooms onboard. There are available restrooms at Ocean Pines Yacht Club for use before the trip.
What to Bring — Sunscreen and a camera, and always take into account weather conditions on the water. (Dress in layers if you are not sure!)
Weather — Unless the weather poses a threat to passenger safety (e.g., lightning, high winds) or would make the trip extremely uncomfortable (e.g., heavy rain), the trip will proceed as scheduled. If the captain cancels due to weather, you will be notified and your money refunded. If the conditions are unpleasant but remain safe, we will run the trip. Sometimes if this situation arises we will offer to cancel/reschedule/refund but as long as the trip is safe then our Captains generally want to make this happen!
Trip Minimum — Please be aware that we cannot run this trip if fewer than 4 people book. We will notify you at least one hour (usually earlier the morning of) before departure if the minimum has not been reached and offer a full refund or try to rebook you onto another cruise if you prefer.
Additional Details — This is a 21+ cruise — you MUST BE 21 OR OLDER. Your First Orange Crush is included! Want to skip the nature tour and stop at Harborside Bar & Grill for a snack and more Orange Crushes? Just let your captain know — we can pull up to the dock and hang out for about an hour before heading back. Up to 10 guests. Duration: approximately 2 hours.
