Forget the bay — we're taking you to the Atlantic.
The Eagle Dolphin Watch is unlike anything else in Ocean City. This trip takes you offshore into the open Atlantic Ocean aboard the Eagle — a 28-foot Pursuit C280 center console built to go 100 miles offshore and powered by twin 250 Yamaha outboards. This isn't a pontoon ride. This is a real ocean-going vessel, and the dolphins out here know the difference.
Atlantic dolphins are wild, fast, and absolutely electric to watch. There's a chance we might not find them on any given day, but we guarantee you our best effort — and the cruise itself through the open Atlantic is worth the trip either way. Sometimes they'll ride right alongside us, leap out of the water, and put on a show you won't forget. Your captain knows exactly where to find them — and in the Eagle, we can get there quickly and comfortably. Feel the power of the open ocean beneath you as we cruise past the OC Inlet, along the coastline, and into the waters where pods of bottlenose dolphins hunt, play, and do what they do best: blow your mind.
With only 6 guests max, you won't be fighting for a spot at the rail. Stretch out on the cushioned bow seating for the ultimate front-row view, or hang near the stern and watch them play in our wake. Connect your phone to the Bluetooth speakers, load up the insulated coolers with your favorite drinks and snacks — this trip is BYOB — and let the Atlantic Ocean do the rest. And yes, the Eagle has a fully equipped head (bathroom) onboard, because when you're on the ocean, that matters.
This is dolphin watching the way it was meant to be — offshore, up close, and on a boat that can actually handle it. Nothing else in OC comes close.
Departure Location, Parking & Boarding — This trip can depart from our downtown location (closest to the open ocean!) at 307 Dorchester Street, or West Ocean City, or Ocean Pines Yacht Club (1 Mumford Landing Rd, Ocean Pines, MD 21811), or your own private dock. Please let us know your preferred pickup location when booking so we can coordinate with your captain. Parking is abundant at Uptown and Ocean Pines Yacht Club. Trip duration will be affected by your choice of pickup location.
Departure Time — Please plan to arrive about 5–10 minutes before your trip. If you do not see the boat, please don't worry — we are probably off making memories with another group! Our captains are trained to leave ON TIME. If you are running late, you can attempt to contact us but if there are other parties on your trip it is unlikely that we will hold up a trip for you!!!
Bathrooms — Great news — the Eagle has a fully equipped head (bathroom) onboard! Essential for an ocean trip.
What to Bring — This trip is BYOB — bring your favorite drinks, snacks, and anything else you want for the ride. We've got insulated coolers onboard to keep everything cold. Sunscreen is a must — there's no shade on the open ocean. Always take into account weather conditions on the water and dress in layers. Ocean conditions can be cooler and windier than the bay, even on a warm day.
Weather — Unless the weather poses a threat to passenger safety (e.g., lightning, high winds) or would make the trip extremely uncomfortable (e.g., heavy rain), the trip will proceed as scheduled. Ocean conditions are less predictable than the bay — if the captain determines seas are too rough for a safe and enjoyable trip, you will be notified and your money refunded. If the conditions are unpleasant but remain safe, we will run the trip. Sometimes if this situation arises we will offer to cancel/reschedule/refund but as long as the trip is safe then our Captains generally want to make this happen!
