Book Your Experience

Come hop on board for a true hands on Ocean City experience! On our Assateague Clamming Adventure come prepare to get in the water and your hands in the sand! Once on board you will cruise over to Assateague Island National park and look for a good spot to drop anchor and get in the water... this is where the fun begins. Once you and your group are in the water your captain will instruct you on how to use the clamming rakes and even use your own feet to find clams! You will wade in the water for approximately an hour and see how many clams you can find.. nothing like a little friendly competition :)  The best part is that you get to keep all the clams you find to bring home and cook for a nice fresh seafood dinner. Yum!

For this trip please come prepared to get in the water, your captain will put you to work to try and find as many clams as you can. We recommend to bring sunscreen, hat, towel, and a smile! You may also bring water shoes and/or a change of clothes if you'd like. Don't forget that this is a trip requiring physical activity so please ensure that everyone in your group is  up for this! Physical activities include (but not limited to) getting on and off a boat in the water, swimming, raking up clams. If you have any further questions about this trip or would like more details please do not hesitate to call us and ask, we want to make sure that everyone is aware of what they will be doing and feels safe in confident in themselves and their group.

Aligned with the goal of ensuring all OC Bay Hopper customers have a great experience, we will only run trips that are deemed safe by our Captains. Generally, the weather on the coastal bays of the Ocean City area is very pleasant but sometimes storms and thunderstorms do occur.

In the event that your trip is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. Sometimes, the weather conditions, particularly high winds causing choppy seas, will allow us to run a safe trip that is a bit unpleasant.

Our captains will always strive to let people know when conditions will be less than ideal and if conditions warrant a possible refund you may choose to not take the trip. (But sometimes those rough passages make for the best experiences!)
