Book Your Experience

An absolute Maryland tradition- blue crabbing with hand lines and crab pots! We'll speed out to our favorite crabbing location, pull our pre-set pots and then anchor out for 30-40 mins to work our hand lines. We bring everything!

For an additional fee of $30 (and your assistance)- we will lay out a 200' trot line. A great way to harvest the crabs.

For those who don't know anything about the blue crab, we will be happy to share our knowledge and enthusiasm about them!

This trip will generally be run on specified mornings from our Kiosk location (next to the Food Lion off of 117th street in The Ocean City Square Shopping Center).  The trip will depart at 9:00 am and we'll spend about 1 1/2 hours out on the water in our favorite crabbing spots. Aboard the OC Bay Hopper we have several different ways to catch crabs and we will use every method possible to allow you success. Best of all: you can keep what you catch (up to a bushel) as long as the crabs meet minimum size requirements! (we will share our catch with all trip participants...) Please feel free to bring snacks and beverages (we have a cooler that we are happy to share) and don't forget the bug spray.

Aligned with the goal of ensuring all OC Bay Hopper customers have a great experience, we will only run trips that are deemed safe by our Captains. Generally, the weather on the coastal bays of the Ocean City area is very pleasant but sometimes storms and thunderstorms do occur.

In the event that your trip is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. Sometimes, the weather conditions, particularly high winds causing choppy seas, will allow us to run a safe trip that is a bit unpleasant.

Our captains will always strive to let people know when conditions will be less than ideal and if conditions warrant a possible refund you may choose to not take the trip. (But sometimes those rough passages make for the best experiences!)
