Looking for a cool alternative to another day on the hot beach? How about a chill lunch cruise that tours iconic Assateague Island and features some of the most innovative offerings from OC’s Taustin Group?

Jump on the OC Bay Hopper and you will be whisked along OC’s active commercial harbor and into the scenic beauty of the coastal bays along Assateague Island. We can’t guarantee you’ll see the wild ponies, dolphins or a tremendous variety of birds- but our knowledgeable captains will be looking out while you enjoy your lunch!

Book this trip for your party and then select the food you want to accompany your adventure. All food is served in convenient “Box Lunch” format, making it absolutely perfect for a boat trip!

Food choices include:

  • The Cuban Panini: slow and low cooked mojo pork, sliced ham, homemade pickles, dijon aioli, sliced gruyere cheese pressed into a Cuban panini
  • Turkey Bacon Ranch Panini: slow roasted fresh turkey, smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, house made ranch on seeded wheat bread
  • Fish Tacos: grilled sea bass, chimichurri, rice and beans, yuzu aioli
  • Shrimp Tacos: jerk seasoned shrimp, pineapple salsa, garlic lime crema
  • Steak Tacos: Ginger soy marinated flank steak, pickled vegetables, avocado aioli
  • Blu Pork Belly Tacos: Korean bbq pork belly, vegetable slaw, jalapeños, sriracha aioli
  • Nachos: Loaded nachos with colorful tortilla chips and absolutely bursting flavor
  • Fries: available with every sandwich for an additional $5

And for drinks? Add a bucket of ice cold beer (6) provided by Pier 23, you make the choice: domestic light beer, domestic regular or local craft favorites! (Feel free to bring additional drinks for this cruise)

Bathrooms – Our Bay Hoppers do not have bathrooms onboard.  However, we do have a bathroom at our North OC kiosk

 

What To Bring – Depending on the weather, you should dress appropriately.  Things to consider bringing include sunscreen, drinks, snacks, a towel, a sweatshirt, and a camera. 

 

Weather – Unless the weather poses a threat to the safety of our passengers (e.g., lightening, high winds) or the weather will make the trip extremely uncomfortable (e.g., heavy rain) the trip will proceed as scheduled.  If the Captain decides to cancel the trip due to the weather, then you will be notified, and your money refunded.

Aligned with the goal of ensuring all OC Bay Hopper customers have a great experience, we will only run trips that are deemed safe by our Captains. Generally, the weather on the coastal bays of the Ocean City area is very pleasant but sometimes storms and thunderstorms do occur.

In the event that your trip is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. Sometimes, the weather conditions, particularly high winds causing choppy seas, will allow us to run a safe trip that is a bit unpleasant.

Our captains will always strive to let people know when conditions will be less than ideal and if conditions warrant a possible refund you may choose to not take the trip. (But sometimes those rough passages make for the best experiences!)
