Staff Orientation Tours

We're all excited about the start to a new summer season! To celebrate, the OC Bay Hopper is happy to offer FREE tours of OC to new OC workers. This provides new seasonal workers with a great, fun opportunity to learn their way around town.

On our Staff Orientation Tours, groups of OC seasonal staff (5-14 people) - all from the same business - can get a free tour of OC by boat! The OC Bay Hopper will offer tours during the weeks of May 16th and May 23rd, Mondays through Thursdays. These trips will have a licensed captain who will point out areas of interest and all of the Bayside Bars/Restaurants accessible by water. We want to share our enthusiasm for the coming season and help orient new workers to the marvels of Ocean City!

Expectations

These trips will basically follow our Water Shuttle route, which will run routinely this summer and connect Frontier Town, West OC Harbor, Ocean Pines and our headquarters on 118th Street. Please arrive at the scheduled location about 5 minutes before the scheduled trip departure. We are also happy to arrange a private pickup at any bayside business but will need to run the trip within strict time constraints (ie: if we pick your group up at a bayside location, the captain/boat will still leave from the designated location- either 118th Street or West OC Harbor. Trips will be approximately 90 minutes to 120 minutes in duration. We are asking any participating business to ensure they have at least 5-6 front line staff- those who interact with OC tourists- as part of their group. About the Weather

Aligned with the goal of ensuring all OC Bay Hopper customers have a great experience, we will only run trips that are deemed safe by our Captains. Generally, the weather on the coastal bays of the Ocean City area is very pleasant but sometimes storms and thunderstorms do occur.

In the event that your trip is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. Sometimes, the weather conditions, particularly high winds causing choppy seas, will allow us to run a safe trip that is a bit unpleasant.

Our captains will always strive to let people know when conditions will be less than ideal and if conditions warrant a possible refund you may choose to not take the trip. (But sometimes those rough passages make for the best experiences!)
